The Nair Weddings

Lekshmi and Lekha Nair are two sisters that I had the wonderful pleasure of working with for both of their weddings this year. We planned Lekshmi’s in a year and we planned Lekha’s in two weeks! They have incredible familes, friends, and love surrounding them and it was an honor to be a part of the experience!
Here are some pictures from Lekha’s wedding which happened September 19th. Photograhy by Bernstein Photograhy.

The Wedding of Elke and James

Definately pretty in pink! I love the sexy shoes!

Tie in the stunning flowers by “Timeless Petal”

and the amazing love of a father giving away his daughter on her wedding day!

A grand bridal party with photos done at Creekside in Gahanna. Stunning!

What a truly gorgeous couple!

The ballroom at the Renissance was beautiful.

Cake designed from back of brides dress.

I love to see couples truly in love and this pictures says it all.

Ok this was the best father/daughter dance I have seen in a long while. It certainly helps when your father is a professional dancer. The spins were amazing.

Besides the bride and groom-grandma and grandpa were my favorite couple of the day!

I love this unique way of utilizing the bridemaids dress sashes for limbo. This was a fun bridal party- the girls did a great tribune dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” early in the evening too. Great tunes providede by Matt Ryan (http://www.mattryandj.com/)

I also have to give props to The Renaissance Hotel (http://www.renaissancecolumbus.com/) who did an amazing job on the food and service at this event.
Thanks to Jim Sanders (http://www.jimsandersphoto.com/) for providing photos for my blog, doing a fabulous job as usual and always being a blast to work with!

“New Fun and Exciting Ideas for your event!”

Your guests will FLIP over this !!

First, it might help to explain what a flip book is.  Think back to the days when you began doodling on the side of your notebook.  One page of a ball bouncing…the next of the ball slightly lower on the page….then hitting the ground….the next page bouncing a little higher.  This went on for a while until you flipped the pages back and watched the ball bounce up and down via animation.

So, what is Flip Book, you ask?  Simply put, Flip Book is a way to bring your parties to life with the newest craze in customized party favors.  How?  We set up a display in a 10′x10′ area at your party or event and invite guests to step behind the camera and make a short video clip.  In a minute-and-a-half, we turn the video clip into a personalized flipbook while partygoers watch.  It creates a buzz as your guests watch each other make a short video clip and give each other ideas.  Flip Book averages 40 flipbooks per hour and is versatile enough to fit into any party setting, from casual to couture.  Sure, there are other companies who make flipbooks, but PicFlips differs from the competition because we make the flipbooks right in front of the party guests.  No waiting for flipbooks in the mail - it’s immediate gratification!

Flip Book is the latest trend in creating personalized party favors at events and parties. We provide not only a custom keepsake, but act as party entertainment as well. PicFlips is the perfect addition to Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, wedding receptions, corporate parties, Proms, Happy Hours, holiday parties, and even convention/expo booths. It’s the hippest interactive party favor out there, and your guests will think of your event each time they flip through their custom flipbook or show their friends!

Grab a prop, stand in front of a backdrop, take a 7 second video of you or your group and in 2 minutes you have a Flip Book.

It’s New, its easy and Wow is it fun !! unlimited flip books

A Warm Welcome

Exciting News!

I’d like to give a warm welcome to the newest addition to the Devoted To Details team.

Rick Mitchell is our newest Event and Wedding Planner!

Rick has worked in the event planning industry for nearly a decade and brings much experience and excitement to the team.  He started out planning and organizing Celebrity Charity events in Los Angeles, California back in 1999.  Having worked with such Hollywood industry celebs as Catherine Bell (JAG, Army Wives), Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly (NCIS) and Donald Bellisario (Magnum PI, JAG, NCIS), Rick’s event planning skills and talents have helped raise more than $200,000 for charities such as The Red Cross.

Several years ago, Rick decided to turn his energies toward social events and Weddings.  Over the past years he has learned ways to take care of the details - big and small - that make your event truly memorable.

We are all looking forward working and collaborating with Rick.

Wall Words

Lynsey and Mike one of our June 21st wedding couples- aren’t they cute!

Here is a fun new trend that we have seen a lot this year in wall art.  We have seen words, monograms, signs, directions, and decorations which have been placed on walls, doors, dance floors, glassware, or any smooth surface.  I love when they have spot lights on them to enhance the look even more.

Hi Jamie,

Thank you for recommending Wall Words!  Their prices were great and we were able to create our own monogram to look like those on our menus, programs, etc.  Thank you also to you and your assitants for installing them beautifully!

And - we won the photo of the week contest!  See here:

Thanks again!  Hope you’re doing well!

Lynsey

Lost Touch!

I hope everyone had a happy 4th of July and didn’t get too wet!

I appologize to all my readers that I have lost touch on the blog spot but it
was for good reason.  I have been spending time with my new son
Jude Patrick Rapavy who was born on St. Patricks Day.  He is truly amazing
and my 7 year old daughter Jolie is just thrilled to have a baby brother who
was adopted just like her!

The photo is compliments of Karla Banks of Banks Photography who so
gratiously offered her services to take pictures of us soon after we were
able to bring him home from Indiana. www.bankspix.com

We had an incredible May which was by far the busiest month I have
experienced in my 6 years and we survived with very happy clients!
I am gearing up for vacation to New Hampshire the last 2 weeks of July
for some rejuvination.  We are looking forward to our wonderful fall brides
we have on the books.

It is now inquiry season for all the 2009 brides and the phones are ringing.
It looks like the popular months are going to be May, June and September.
If those are your wedding month, make sure you are obtaining your wedding
professionals now.
